Recipe: Stuffed Turkey Burgers




You'll Need:
1 1/4 pounds lean ground turkey breast
1/2 cup chopped roasted red peppers
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 teaspoons salt
Freshly ground black pepper

To Prepare:
Divide turkey into 4 equal sized rounds. Make 2 equal sized patties out of each round so you have 8 patties total. Sprinkle 4 of the patties with 2 tablespoons red peppers and cheese, and top with remaining patties, working the turkey around the edges to seal burgers closed. Season with salt and a few grinds of pepper. Grill or broil until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.

United Nations wants to STOP Haitian adoptions....what's wrong with this picture?

Ok so I was inquiring on the net how to go about adopting a child from Haiti, not just because of the recent tragedy, but because it's the poorest country in the western hemisphere. They live off of $1 dollar a day, and they actually encourage the adoption of infants before older kids (though it doesn't matter to me) because they have the highest mortality rate. Happy 1 year Lociversary and 1st Freebee Giveaway to......

My beloved locs turned 1 YEAR OLD on January 15, 2010. In celebration, I thought I'd post a collage showing my progression from the beginning to now. I must say the 1st year went by awesomely fast and I'm looking forward to many more years with my locs. I did a bantu knot out to celebrate the occasion, however my results are unfavorable. Protective Style!

Im soooo sad that I have had to restrict my beautiful fro to 95% protective styling for the winter.:( The dry air does a number on my hair. I see more breakage and its so dry. So I'm rocking so two strand twists for a while. I've decided to make my own hair and body butters for the winter. My first batch did'nt turn out so well. I had to buy more eo's to put in it. 1 Month Napptural!

So today is 1 month post my BC, and I took pics to compare and inspire myself. I am so happy! I can really see the growth in just one month. I went this past Saturday and bought some products for my hair. This week I started working on developing a regime that works for my hair.
